The new lineup for Dancing with the Stars has just been announced. Some of the celebs fighting for the mirror ball trophy are Beverly Hills, 90210 star Shannen Doherty, figure skater Evan Lysacek and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
But perhaps the most talked-about celebs to hit the dance floor are mothers. With 10 children between the two of them, Kate Gosselin and Pamela Anderson will be cutting a mean rug alongside their hunky dance partners.
And according to Us, Kate is fitting in nicely with her new pals at DWTS. “Kate was so nice,” a set source says. “Everyone loved her. She was funny and cordial and accommodating.” Adds the insider: “It was a surprise!”
The mother-of-eight’s dancing partner Tony Dovolani agrees. He Tweeted, “Kate and I are getting along great. She is [an amazing] Mom and it looks like she is going to become a great dancer too :-).”
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kate said she “can’t dance,” but “I am gonna win.” Her plan? She said she’ll get her eight children to vote for her.
And where will the duo practice their moves? Dovolani plans to travel to Wernersville, Pa. where a newly-converted dance studio was installed in the basement of Gosselin’s home. And a source says DWTS is footing the bill for the makeshift studio.
An how does Pamela feel about joining the popular show? Pammy Tweeted her excitement: “I’m so excited. I need a challenge. This is a great time for me to do this. I rehearse while boys are in school…love it.” The 42-year-old mother of two also said, “I’m such a lucky girl to be doing Dancing with the Stars. It’s going to be a lot of hard work, but I’m so…”
Who’s got your vote? Kate or Pam?
