Will Padma Lakshmi Face Custody Battle With Adam Dell?
| Mar 23, 2010 by HEIDI ORAN |

New mom Padma Lakshmi, host of the hit reality show Top Chef, may be in the early stages of a custody battle, reports Page Six. After keeping the identity of 1 month-old daughter Krishna's father a secret throughout her pregnancy, it was revealed in January that the father is Columbia Business School professor, and brother to billionaire computer mogul Michael Dell, Adam Dell.
Although sources revealed that the couple had an arrangement in place, claiming Lakshmi did not have any expectations from Dell, the 40 year-old professor has reportedly hired lawyer Bill Zabel to help him gain rights and become a part of his daughters life.
A source close to the Top Chef host says, "If Dell has changed his mind, that's his problem. They [Lakshmi and Dell] already have an agreement."
Daughter Krishna Thea is the only child for Lakshmi, who has struggled with infertility in the past due to endometriosis.

It doesn't matter if they had an agreement before the child was born. You can't contract away the right's of the child to see their father; no court will uphold it. Frankly, I don't think she'd actually mind her child having a father who cares; that doesn't sound like her.
What a strange quote indeed. Either the source has no clue or that whole story is fabricated. She should feel lucky that the father wants to be involved.
What a horrible situation. Custody battles are tough enough without having the details broadcasted over the internet. I guess with Top Chef pre-empted tonight, we need something to talk about. foodiegossip.blogspot.com
