Most women, when carrying a baby in their belly, are forced to rely on specialty clothing. Apparel made just for the pregnant woman, that large sized genre called maternity wear. But some woman, due to their fitness regime, their genetics, or gifts from the gods don’t have to depend on the forgiving waistlines of maternity clothing. These lucky ladies just wore regular clothing, just in larger sizes. Here are 4 moms who didn’t have to do that whole maternity wear thing.
Gisele kept her svelte figure throughout her pregnancy with son Benjamin. Gisele dished on her pregnancy saying, “I put on a little weight [throughout my pregnancy], but kept using almost the same clothes, with small adjustments on the stomach,”
Heidi opted just to get items from her favorite designers in just bigger sizes. She said, “My stylist tries to find things that are not maternity clothes, so I’ve been wearing a lot from The Row, by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. I love their clothes. Marc Jacobs too.” She continued to say, “ You just buy things in a size 10 – when you’re doing a show on fashion, you still have to bring it on.” It helps not to be a size 10 to begin with!”
Yes, another model in the mix. The German supermodel Claudia Schiffer told People that, “I’m not the sort of person who likes to wear tight clothes when I’m pregnant, but I’m not a fan of maternity dresses either, so my advice would be to get things a few sizes bigger and have them tailored to fit.” She’s been seen, during her third pregnancy, wearing oodles of regular sized designer duds and some tight…very tight!
Already super skinny to start, the Oscar winning actress depended on larger sized pieces and customized gowns for the red carpet. Not shy of showing of her bump, albeit a tiny bump, she wore a see thru Prada gown to The Golden Compass premiere.
