Benjamin Bratt and his gorgeous wife Talisa Soto certainly know how to heat up a red carpet, but the couple say they’d much prefer to spend their time at home with their kids Sophia Rosalinda, 7, and Mateo Bravery, 4.
“Honestly, they’re at this incredible stage where what comes out of their mouths is such a joy,” Talisa, 43, tells People. “I can sit down and have conversations with them. “[I love] to see their perspective on things – just to be with them and see what they have to say about the world, what they see.”
With their 8th wedding anniversary just around the corner (April 13), Benjamin, 46, seems as in love as ever.
“We’re going on our eighth year of our marriage and it feels like six months because we’re so aligned,” he gushes.
The former Law & Order star adds that being a dad has improved the quality of his work.
“[Parenting] informs the work, enriches it. The stakes are much higher on every level. The work that you choose will draw you away from that which you care for most, your family, [and] gets a whole new scrutiny.”
The couple, who first teamed together on the big screen in 2001’s Pinero, are back working together in the new film La Mission, directed by Benjamin’s brother Peter.
