Josie Duggar Returns To Hospital

Josie Duggar Returns To Hospital

Just a week after finally being allowed to go home with her family, baby Josie Duggar is back at Arkansas Children’s Hospital today after her vital signs unexpectedly dropped.

“[The doctor] told us to never trust a preemie,” says Josie’s dad Jim Bob. “That is really true.”

Though Josie was doing well when she returned home last week, fortifiers added to mom Michelle‘s breast milk to increase her intake of calories are apparently what triggered the latest setback. The fortifiers led to constipation which in turn led to the fluctuation in her vital signs.

Though he’s not sure how long she’ll have to remain at the hospital, Jim Bob reports that Josie is “doing fine now.”

“It seems like she will do great for a few days and then have challenges. We are so encouraged about how she’s doing, and it is amazing how she’s filling out. But, even though she is beyond her due date and over the four-month mark, she is still not at the weight of a full-term baby,” he says of his daughter, who now weighs 4lbs 12oz.

The youngest of the Duggars’ 19 children, Josie was born on December 10, 2009 – 15 weeks earlier than expected due to Michelle’s pre-eclampsia – weighing just 1lb 6 oz.

“We really appreciate everyone’s continued prayers for Josie,” Jim Bob adds.

Continued prayers for you little one! God Bless you all and the hard times you have faced. God has given you the strength and grace to make it through and will continue to provide it as long as you continue to need it!

I think it really sad how Michelle and Jim bob continue to show Josie off when she is at a weak moment in her life. They continue to keep us update on every little thing Josie is doing. I think Michelle and Jim bob needs to be in Josie life without the camera.

I hate that this site has become a breeding ground for hate. My best wishes to Josie…she deserves our prayers.

What’s in the best interest of the baby is for the camera crews to leave. Think of increased risk of RSV. Why would they allow more people than absolutely necessary into the house when their infant daughter is so fragile? Now is the time to be concentrating on Josie, not a television show.

f you watch the show, SHE isn’t the one caring for all of these little ones, her daughters are. To think someone would have all these kids and then makes the older ones take care of them. Its wrong.

I am so tired of everybody putting this family down. It is nobody’s business how many children they have, they are not on welfare, or food stamps, or medicare or any other govt dole. They have no bills, no loans, no mortgage, no car payments. They are raising, polite, moral, well behaved children, why does that bother everybody so much. So what if she had a baby after her son, I have a grandson, who is 11 months younger than my youngest. So what! There children are loved and well cared for, and that is all that matters. If everybody minded their own business as much as they mind the
Duggars business this would be a much better world

The Duggars chose to prostitute their lives to TV, that is the only reason they live “debt free” without either of them leaving the home to work. They chose to benefit from making their lives public. They must take the good with the bad. Yes, it is everyone elses business and that was their own choice! They have sold their right to privacy.

if you knew the history, they were actually debt free before the show even came around. They found ingenious ways to get money (they own properties that they rent out to businesses) and they got rid of their credit cards so everything they own was paid for outright.

Are they going to be so quick to broadcast if one of the Duggar girls goes the same way as her fellow Quiverfull, Andrea Yates?
