John Stamos: "I Hope To Be A Parent Someday"
| Apr 20, 2010 by CAROLYN ROBERTSON |

He doesn't have kids of his own (yet!) but actor John Stamos is lending his star power to shine the spotlight on babies in need. The former ER star has signed on as the national spokesperson for Project Cuddle, a charity that works to prevent newborns from being abandoned.
Explaining how he got involved with the organization, John tells PopEater, "My mom was friends with the founder, Debbe Magnusen. She was saving babies out of her home. She started an 800 number to help girls who were thinking about abandoning their babies and also finding homes for abandoned babies. It's just one of those charities where it came to me like, 'Wow, I can really make a difference,' because she needed exposure."
Though he says he is "embracing bachelorhood" at the moment, the 46-year-old admits he would love to have children of his own.
"I love kids, and I think that's the one thing that's really missing in my life. I hope to be a parent someday."
