The Party Is Over For Jeremy London

Party of Five alum Jeremy London opened up to People about his addiction to prescription pain pills that compromised his family and career.

Jeremy, along with his identical twin brother Jason, moved to Los Angeles in 1993 in hopes of making it big in Hollywood. He quickly rose to fame as Griffin Holbrook on the hit series Party of Five, then Chandler Hampton on 7th Heaven.

The Hollywood limelight led Jeremy, 37, down a dangerous road of drug abuse.

I was treated like royalty it was hard for my brain to accept.”

In September 2006, Jeremy wed actress Melissa Cunningham and shortly thereafter the couple welcomed their son, Lyrik, now 3.

Jeremy’s prescription pill addiction cost him his marriage, career and significantly comprised his relationship with his son. “There were times I didn’t care if I died I felt like I was losing everything,” the actor admits.

Longing to prove he could be a good father, Jeremy entered a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in September 2009. Although he is currently in the process of a divorce and financial trouble, he has visitation twice-weekly with Lyrik.

“I’m learning it’s much easier to deal with life with a clear head,” Jeremy says. “There are so many things I wish I could have done differently.”

  1. thanks

Why not just quit the business why use the Entertainment industry …for
Your addiction. NOT… IT IS AN ENABLER.. SO that you the celebrity can blame
that …when it was the addiction itself…So I do not want to hear it..

Corey blamed it on the industry when he could not get any work.. for QUIT
