Kate Gosselin was photographed with her children outside their Reading, Pennsylvania home which has been turned into the set of her new reality show, Twist of Kate, on Tuesday (May 11).
From her former popular reality TV show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, to her recent stint on Dancing with the Stars, Kate is a ratings magnet! The media darling is now filming her new series which will focus on her life as a single mother. The show will occasionally costar her eight young children - 9-year-old twins Cara, and Madelyn, and 6-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel - despite the series of well-publicized clashes between Kate and her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin.

So, you really think exploiting children is the actions of a "good" parent. BTW, Kate is not "media darling". She was a trainwreck that people watched for their own amusement. What kind of legacy is that for children - that their mother is the laughingstock of the tabloid media?

Right on, Paula! Jon and Kate Plus 8 was diving in the ratings before Jon pulled the plug. People like DWTS even without Kate and they especially like to watch "stars" like Kate embarrass themselves. I know she has some crazy fans who think she's just like them (controlling b*tches) and feel Kate can do no wrong, but they are in the minority.
Still I am a little excited to see Twist of Kate because she's supposed to "help" moms which should be hilarious since she doesn't care for her own children or home so it ought to be fun to watch her give advice to real moms! I won't actually watch the show but I look forward to the clips of the show on the Soup!
No, I don't think being on camera all the time is good for the children and I will not be supporting this or any such show.

Personally I wouldn't do it, but I have seen the show and the gosselin kids are the cutest/happiest kids. The cameras are something their used to by now, and wether that seems weird it's just how it is. Maybe it will even help them, they've been through such dramatic changes in the past year, having the crew that are like family to all of them might be good. I don't know that's just my opinion, I guess will just have to wait and see till they're all grown up.
The show will occasionly show the children. So this is all about Kate-does she really think she is all that. I won't be watching her. She was the biggest bitch to Jon- that is why I stopped watching their show. Kate I hope you get a kick in the ass from the media. It really has become all about money for her. Poor kid's....................
Kids are probably used to it BUT Kate complains about paparazzi how does she think the kids feel & will feel if this keeps up as they get older. Used yo watch Jon & Kate plus 8 until it wasn't reality anymore. This show will be the same so not watching it. And yea, as someone commented I watched DWTS to watch her make a fool of herself. Was so glad to see her voted

Kate is pathetic. I have NEVER seen her tv progams in the past and I will NOT be watching this one either. She is desparate for media attention. She is a NOBODY!
Anyone else notice that the only time Kate is ever shown with her children and smiling around them is when the camera's are around? Otherwise it is only nannies or Job with them. So sad

She couldnt dance and then she never supported the people after she left the show. That shows what kind of person she is. Its all about her and I am tired of her.
How or where did you come up with the "fact" that she didn't support the others after she left DWTS?? Didn't you hear the others on DWTS say they have been texting back and forth with Kate and really missed her!

This is so sad...I feel so badly for those kids. I have thought for years that Kate was emotionally abusive to Jon (yes, I know he's no saint either!). I just feel so horribly for thos kids...no extended family to speak of either thanks to mommy dearest :( I will never watch this new show.
I think the kids are happy around the camaras, i have watched all of there episodes and the kids seem to be enjoying them selves and having fun. And kate is a good mom, she supports her kids, she hasnt anything that should make people think that!!!!! Shes doing the best she can to support her 8 kids, i doubt any of you haters have 8 kids to support!

I stopped watching the original show due to Kate's treatment of Jon. I know the Kate fans will watch this show. I think it is just sad that people will support a money hungry, fame seeking, narcissistic, mean spirited person like Kate Gosselin. I guess TLC is counting on people who consider Kate personal characteristics as being a strong individual, because she isn't likable person. I'm tried of people using the excuse of Kate has to take care of her kids. Multiples births are not uncommon in these modern times of fertility medicine. I have a new respect for the parents of multiples who don't pimp out the kids for some reality show.
It's obvious to me that (while Kate isn't always the nicest) she does love her kids, enought to do anything to support all of them. And I think, if that means having a show that will sometimes show them...so be it. It doesn't seem like it's supposed to be solely focused on the kids. I mean...when it comes down to it...she's trying her best to sell herself via books, tv appearances etc. WHAT has John done to help support the 8 kids? Really? Wasn't it Kate who set her kids up with a trust fund just for them so they could all go to college or whatever they desire? To me, she's just a hard working single mom who has 8 mouths to feed.

I doubt she loves to be in this media circus, but I totally understand why she opted for this life path. I bet the majority of people here would have done the same thing had the opportunity been presented to them. Even thought he kids are being video taped alot, do you honeslty think it will cause them trauma??? ok so they might get annoyed, but guess what ? mommy will have saved enough money for each of them to live a more comfortable life.
The kids grew up in front of the camera and knew the crew from TLC like extended family. Six babies born at the same time will always make these children an interest to the public, why shouldn't Mom find a way to use that to help support them?? They have a Dad who public stated how the children hindered his "fun time" in his twenties, who is now partying hard with any young girl who will pay his way... plus he hasn't paid any of the court ordered support for these children. Kate sure couldn't cover the cost of raising the children on a nurses salary, so she has worked hard to find ways to do it with a much better pay off. I've heard people say that they came from a large family and they had a single mom who was able to make it work, think... two sets same aged children, very limited hand-me-downs, each hitting mile post at the very same time...not at all the same as a regular family of eight. Say what you want people, I think Kate has done a great job taking care of her family.
First I want to say that I don't have 8 children and I am not nor have i ever been in(I don't think any of you have been either) Kate's position.
I have watched Jon and Kate plus eight since it first started. At first I thought that kate was mean and controlling, but to tell you the truth the way that the home is run is like a well oiled machine.I have to ask myself if she was any different would things get done like they do?( I think not)
Lets not forget that it was Jon who brought this all on. How many seasons did they do before the paparazzi got to be a problem? It wasn't until Jon was pictured with that young tramp that things got to be a problem.
so if the children grow up and hold any anger it should be for their father.
It doesn't matter how mean Kate was, nothing she has said to Jon is deserving of what she has gone through.
She is a mother and she is giving her children a great start on life and many opportunities that I wish I could give my children.
So before you get on here and judge and bash her, remember that you have never been in her position and god willing you will never be.
SO WAY TO GO KATE!
PS. I thought she did great on dwts (for an average person who had never been trained athletically and is going through all the things she is)

I watched the first show all the time, those kids are way too cute! And yes, Kate's a little b*tchy, but if I had that many kids the same ages, I'd probably be too. I know my one child drives me crazy some days, I can't imagine 5 more of him, plus 2 more. No way! But this IS a good way to provide for those kids, and well, the kids don't seem to mind the cameras, they've always had cameras around, and they probably have the best documented childhood ever, forget baby books and scrapbooks, they have videos of everything they've ever done!
I agree, she has to support 8 kids give her a break....ya she doesnt handle alot of situations well, but if I had 8 children dont know if I would either....the kids seem very happy on camera....they are fine and seem like good kids...quit judging , she is a mother with a ton of responsibilty, probably alone...
i will not be watching any show that kate is on, she is a mean,abusive,hateful person! I'm not sure why she thinks she couldn't raise 8 kids on a nurse's salary? People do it every day. It may mean she couldn't pay almost a thousand dollars to get her hair done but hey welcome to the real world. She knew when she had these kids that she would have to suppost them and she didn't know she was going to have a reality show! She needs to downsize sale that mansion she lives in for a smaller house sale her expensive sports car go back to nursing and spend some quality time with her children without cameras having to be there! I'm sure jon pays child support. So kate get off you're high horse and come back down to earth with the rest of us nobody cares about your life!
