The late Heath Ledger‘s family has announced the creation of a scholarship in his name to maintain his legacy. Colin Farrell presented the first recipient of the scholarship, Bella Heathcote, at Thursday’s Australians in Film Breakthrough Awards.
While at the event, Heath’s sister Kate told People that she never forgets her brother, who died in 2008:”"He is alive in my heart and in my head. Every day I talk to him.”
They also said that they see a lot of Heath in his daughter, Matilda, whose mother is actress Michelle Williams: “In some of her movements it is just naturally in the way she moves. But there is a lot of Michelle there as well.” Heath’s mother Sally Bell agrees, telling Radar Online, that “she’s got light and she’s full of energy like her dad — I see a lot of similarities, so I hope Michelle’s getting ready for all that energy.”
Matilda is so gorgeous! I wish Heath was still here.. He was a great actor.

Matilda does look like a perfect mix of her parents… I’m glad Heath’s family are in touch with her. The scholarship fund is a wonderful initiative to commemorate their son.
