Kate Hudson On Marriage, Divorce & The Paparazzi

Actress Kate Hudson is a constant in entertainment headlines, whether it be speculation over who she is dating, rumors of plastic surgery, or baby bump watch. The actress, who is the daughter of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, also faced a public split with Chris Robinson after marrying at 21 and welcoming son Ryder at 24. In an interview with Telegraph.co.uk, the Nine actress opened up about her marriage, divorce, and the paparazzi.

On her marriage/divorce to Chris Robinson: "I just met Chris and he was great. As untraditional as he looks, he is a southerner, from Georgia. He has pretty traditional values. It wasn’t exactly a traditional wedding, though. No, we mixed it up a bit there. The divorce wasn’t very traditional either. But I don’t regret that relationship because it gave me my son and, to this day, I have such a deep love for Chris. Just as it takes work to be in a relationship, so it takes work to not be in a relationship. We still disagree, but that person is in my life forever because of Ryder."

On the paparazzi: I can disappear, though. There is a way not to draw attention to yourself. If I want to draw attention to myself, put on heels and a tight dress and do my hair up, then I can. But I can also tone it down. For me I’d go crazy if I couldn’t go out and walk in the streets. I learnt some of that from my mum. She is so recognisable. She’s just so Goldie! When I was a girl I would get embarrassed and say: 'Mum, put a hat on or something.' "

It's a British paper so they write in British-English, the same goes for American publications when they interview people from outside the US.

Kates father is Bill Hudson, not Kurt Russell.

Good catch. Kurt is NOT her father. In fact, it's not either a step father since they never married. He's just her mother's boyfriend.

kate hudsons pathetic, she talks about her ex husband confessing shes still inlove with the man, hes now happily married with a baby and has moved on, ryder may be his priority but so is his wife and new baby. hudson just sounds like an annoying exwife who wont leave him alone.

I think she says those things for the benefit of her son. She may be over compensating a little since her parents were estranged. Maybe she just doesnt want her son to every worry about anything like that happening to any of them. Also, Kurt helped Goldie raise her since she was a little girl. He is her dad too!

just a whole lot of mumble jumble, same old same old! its all just worded differently every interview...how about making us a decent movie to demonstate some acting talent. or is that a big ask?...her movies are failing her but she can still stay relavent in hollywood by bleeting on during interviews about her famous rocker ex husband for the rest of her life, talking about the famous mother and the famous step father is always a winner.

I could not have said it better! I don't know what people see in Kate Hudson and why she keeps getting all those roles. She looks so stupid with her hip out/ mouth pouting poses on the red carpet. Her acting is horrible and she doesn't even look that good. But yeah, she has famous parents and that's what keeps the door open for her.
