Kerri Walsh Welcomes Second Son: Sundance Jennings!

Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Kerri Walsh and husband, fellow-volleyball player Casey Jennings have welcomed a new baby boy!

Son Sundance Jennings was born on Wednesday (May 19) at 9:59 p.m. in Torrence, Calif. weighing in at 6 lbs., 12 oz. and measuring 19¾ inches in length, Kerri's rep confirms with Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Sundance arrived a bit early, as Walsh recently revealed to Celebrity Baby Scoop that her due date was May 30, 2010, eight days after son Joey turns one! Walsh also opened up about having two babies a year apart, saying, "Both Casey and I are very close in age to our nearest siblings and neither of us would have traded that for the world."

Wow, I did not see this one coming. Sundance? Really? Was she on something? Did she get hit in the head? Maybe it was the pain medication(yes I am ASSUMING here). Who knows. I won't even try to understand any celebrity but I will say that most do things for one simple reason, attention! Speaking of which, I am out of here.

The two names certainly don't mesh well.
Oh well.

I agree that Sundance is a terrible name. Maybe it would have been a liiittle better if it was for a girl.

maybe Kerri and her husband Casey are fans of the Movie Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid and wanted to name their little bundle of joy after that classic movie

A boy named Sundance? Really? Do they want him to get beat up in school?

I'm surprised Casey would want his son named Sundance. Guys are usually all about the macho names

What a horrible thing to do to a child by naming it such an idiotic name. He will be ridiculed from the time he starts attending school. Stupid selfish parents don't think about the ramifications of this.

I like the name and think it sounds masculine.

Maybe lil' Sundance will go by his middle name Thomas when he's older but nit picking over his name is like saying giving a girl a masculine middle name is disrespectful to women as for example Melissa Newman's middle name is Stewart after famed hollywood screenwritter Stewart Stern who was a dear friend of her Parents had been her dads best man at their wedding and later co-wrote two of the films her mother was Oscar nominated for and even the Film Festival was named after the movie in part but also because the city in which it takes place is Sundance Utah
