Do High Heels And Mommy Duty Mix?

Do High Heels And Mommy Duty Mix?

Regardless of your personal mommy style, no one can argue that it’s easy to wear high heels while out and about with the kids. Well, it might be simple for Gwen Stefani or Victoria Beckham to sport sky high stilettos, but I can barely keep up with my toddler while wearing sneakers!

Many celebrity moms and moms-to-be find it fashionable and functional to wear high heels, while some shun the footwear for more down to earth flats. We’ll take a look at the moms who tower in heels, the moms who’d rather not, and four celebrity kids who are already in training and rocking some killer heels!

Click on each celebrity’s name below to see their grace and coordination while teetering around in sky high heels when out and about (or pregnant with) with their kids!

Perhaps she can tolerate sand in her shoes due to her last name, but we can’t imagine how stilettos and sand mix in Shauna’s beach ensemble which she wore here with her daughters, Alexandra Lynne, 12, Victoria, 10, and Isabella, 9. And check out Sand on heels here at a Christmas tree farm!

Minnie Driver says that pregnancy and high heels definitely don’t mix,

I’ve lost my balance — my boobs and my stomach [are huge], and you can’t wear high heels unless you weight your bottom or something. I’m sure you’re all dying to know what it’s like to be pregnant!

And these celebrity kids are already well on their way to perfecting their strut in high heels!

One of the battles I have let her win is allowing her to have a pair of high heels. I thought, you know, I am not going to push this. I can’t walk in high heels, but actually I would like her to be able to walk in heels because they look nice. And she loves them. I loved them when I was little. If I had been allowed to have high heels I would have been so happy, but no. So she has a little pair of high heels.

I have 5 children and wear high heels everyday. I am very comfortable in heels and love the way I feel and look in them. It never really crossed my mind that I should take them off just because I was taking care of my kids.

Shauna Sand is the WORST role model, out with her girls wearing stripper shoes. I’m sure she is a good mom but what it that telling her daughters? With all of the plastic surgery and cheap hooker-wear, how will they learn that they are beautiful by just being themselves?

Because wearing high heels somehow makes you a bad mom? I’m not understanding?

No, it doesn’t make you a bad mom. But when they’re teenagers and they invite friends over, and their 50 year old mom is dreassed like a hooker, it’s humiliating.

I’m tall enough as it is. I see those heels and my knees and ankles start screaming like scared babies. I don’t know how those women do it, especially the heavily pregnant ones.

To each their own, but I would just find it totally uncomfortable and impractical, and unnecessary. To be having to chase kids around whilst dealing with heels the height of the Chrysler Building is way too much avoidable discomfort. I only wear heels when I have to.

PS Under Brooke Burke, it should be daughter Heaven Rain and SON Shaya Braven, not daughters.

I wear heels every day for work. Nothing crazy, but I do work in an office, and the business casual dress code calls for it. However, until the moment I hit the parking lot and as soon as I leave at night, I have flats or sandals on! I have 3 kids to take to and from daycare before work, and there’s no way I can run around after them if I’m still in my heels! Props to these celebs who are able to do it. I know I have nearly fallen a couple times, on the rare occasion that I don’t have time to change. Not worth it, in my opinion. These ladies would look just as lovely in something a little more practical!

I wear heals almost every day. I love them and for me they are practical. I’m not running around after my eight year old daughter anymore. When she was younger I didn’t wear them as much but its not as hard as it sometimes looks to run after a kid in them. For some anyway.
