Father's Day is this Sunday, and we're taking a look at five hands-on celebrity dads who always seem to be out and about having a great time with their kids. Whether they are doing the school-run, riding bikes, or barreling down the slide with their little ones, these dads really light up their childrens' lives.

• Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck is the proud papa of daughters Violet, 4 and Seraphina, 17 months, with wife Jennifer Garner. The hunky dad is regularly seen out and about with his family, whether he is taking his kids to the dentist, picking up or dropping off Violet at school, carrying her books like a gentleman, or enjoying a party with his bevy of beauties.

We love that fatherhood has made Ben more "empathetic" on a global level as well. He explains the inspiration behind his involvement in the Eastern Congo Initiative saying,

I think most people are empathetic and see people who are struggling and are responsive to that, but for me having my own children definitely added to that sense of global responsibility and made me feel even more for other people's suffering.

Hugh Jackman looks like one of the happiest most playful dads around. We always spot him smiling all over town with his kids, Ava, 4 1/2, and Oscar, 10, his children with wife of 14 years, Deborra Lee-Furness.

Jackman is always cuddling and laughing with his son and daughter, and it's so nice to see such a delightful dad. This picture of Ava hugging her daddy's leg says it all!

Brad Pitt has always been very vocal about wanting to have a large family and lots of children, and his dream came true. The father of six: Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 4, and 1 ½-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne, his children with love Angelina Jolie.

Pitt never misses a chance to explore the world with his family, and he spends quality time with each and every one of his children, making them each feel like the special, unique children they are. Here he enjoys some fun at the park in Venice with his kids, here he's boarding a gondola to take a cruise down a Venice canal with his little buddies, and here he looks thrilled to have his daughter Vivienne in his arms.

Even with the paparazzi always on his trail, Pitt still takes the time to get behind his own camera to snap some cherished shots of his adorable family.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and the photo of Larry Birkhead and his daughter Dannielynn, 3 1/2, enjoying a tandem slide ride is evidence that this father/daughter duo have a blast in each other's company. The single dad shares his daughter's plight to try to understand where her mother (the late Anna Nicole Smith) is saying,

She misses her mom so much. Right now she’s at the age where she’s noticing that other children in television and in books have moms. She said to me the other day quite seriously, “Where’s my mom?” It was sad but I explained to her, “Your mommy is in the clouds and you’ll see her again one day.” She knows who her mom is, though — I make sure of that. Our home is filled with photos of Anna and recognizes her straight away. I want to keep her mom and Daniel in her mind."

Hands-on dad Mark Wahlberg grew up as the youngest of nine siblings! He's no stranger to large families, and he and wife Rhea Durham have four children together: Ella, 6, Michael, 4, Brendan, 1, and Grace, 5 months. Wahlberg is always spotted ushering his kids around Tinseltown to their activities, as seen here taking Michael to karate class.

There may be even more daddy duty on the way for Wahlberg. He explains that he and Durham may add to their blossoming brood,

My wife has always wanted four, two boys and two girls, so miraculously she got everything she wanted. She's saying she's done. She loves being a mother, so she may end up wanting one more. We'll see what happens.
