Kelis: "My Kid Is The Center Of My World"

Singer Kelis has recently opened up about her repaired relationship with ex-husband, rapper Nas. Though in the past the two faced off in a battle over child and spousal support, Kelis says that it is important to her that their son sees his parents have a cordial relationship, saying,

My kid is the center of my world. I don't leave him ever. I take him with me everywhere. I was married. It didn't work out. The most amazing thing came out of it. I am good with that. (Knight) will never read anywhere that I said anything negative about his father. It doesn't matter whether it's true or not. Because at the end of the day he needs to know he did come from love."

The two were married in 2005 and split wile Kelis was pregnant with son Knight. Nas also has a teenage daughter, Destiny, from a previous relationship.
