Her stint on the popular drama 24 came to an end with the show’s last episode this Spring, but Mary Lynn Rajskub has an interesting new project to keep her busy.
The Michigan-born actress, who has 1-year-old son Valentino with her husband Matthew Rolph, is the star of a one-woman show in Hollywood with the saucy title, “Mary Lynn Raksjub Spreads Her Legs.” Inspired by her own experiences as a mom, the show takes a funny and honest look at pregnancy and new motherhood.
“My first three months of motherhood weren’t pretty,” she admits. “I just needed five hours of sleep in a row. I remember my son waking me up in the middle of the night and thinking that I should just call the police.”
Mary Lynn, who got her start as a stand-up comic, says of her new gig, “I love getting a reaction from the audience – both the laughter and tears. The show is bawdy, but it’s real issues I’m grappling with and most people can relate.”
