Jon Hamm Unsure If He Will Be A Dad

Actor Jon Hamm is currently starring as protagonist Don Draper on the underground hit Mad Men, which has just entered its fourth season.

Hamm, who spent much of the 90′s in LA looking for his big break, is now enjoying a thriving acting career, along with his already fulfilling personal life. In an interview with Parade the actor discussed his thoughts on his life at 39.

Hamm, who sadly lost both of his parents by the age of 20, opened up about his relationship with partner Jennifer Westfeldt, saying, “I don’t have the marriage chip, and neither of us have the greatest examples of marriages in our families. But Jen is the love of my life, and we’ve already been together four times longer than my parents were married.”

He then touched on becoming a dad himself, revealing, “I like kids but I also like the option to close the door. Becoming a parent is a whole other life, and it doesn’t stop.”

Hamm and Westfeltd, who has guest-starred on the likes of Grey’s Anatomy and 24, met at a party in 1997 while both were struggling actors.
