Ashley Jensen Wants Her Son To Have A Scottish Accent
| Aug 3, 2010 by DESIREE FAWN |

Scottish actress Ashley Jensen worries about her son developing an American accent – a fear she’s combating with a CD of traditional lullabies sung in a thick Scottish accent!
The Ugly Betty star – mom to 10-month-old Francis Jonathan with British hubby Terence Beesley – admits that she plays the CD on a regular basis with hopes that it will influence her son’s speech.
“It’s called ‘Bairn’s Kiss’ – my husband used to look at me weird when I was playing it, but now he ends up singing it in a Scottish accent,” says 40-year-old star. “My family back home are very pleased about that.”
Speaking of “back home”, Ashley says that when she and her husband – who have homes in Los Angeles, London and Italy – are feeling homesick, they hop online to take a virtual tour of London:
When we get homesick we go on Google Earth and have a wee walk around the streets and talk about when we go back to London, where we are going to live. We'll go for a ‘walk’ on Hampstead Heath or a look around Richmond.
The couple, who met in 1999, have been married 3 ½ years.

If you don't want your son to be contaminated with an American accent-GO HOME! If you miss London so much-LEAVE AMERICA AND GO THERE! Don't let us force you to stay in our dreadful country.
Come off it, Jessie! There's nothing wrong with wanting to share your culture with your children and we all get homesick from time to time!
The Bairn's Kist CD is actually one of mine and a lot of my customers are Scottish relations of young children growing up away from Scotland and they want to give them a flavour of "Scottishness".
@Jessie
London isn't in fucking Scotland, you xenophobic idiot.
