Madonna & Lourdes' Clothing Line Debuts Today!

Hey all you Material Girls out there – get ready to slip into something from Madonna and daughter Lourdes' new clothing line. The juniors collection called – what else – 'Material Girl,' debuts Tuesday (August 3) at Macy's department stores.

Lourdes, 13, who goes by her nickname Lola, trumpeted the opening on her blog. "We are getting so close to the launch of the Material Girl Collection at Macy’s on 8/3 @ 10AM!" she wrote. "The suspense is killing us!!!"

The line, inspired by designer Stella McCartney, includes back-to-school clothes jeans and shoes and includes that mainstay of Madonna's wardrobe from her earlier days: fingerless gloves.

In the end, though, Madonna sounds more like your typical parent than a rock star.

I always have two reactions when Lola comes into my room with an outfit on. One is, 'Oh my God she looks amazing, what incredible style,' and my second reaction is, 'She's dressed completely inappropriately for school.'
