Mike Tyson On Family And Change

Mike Tyson suffered a tragic loss in 2009 with the death of his 4-year-old daughter, Exodus. It was a wake up call of sorts for the former heavyweight champion, and ended a dark period during which he says his life was preoccupied with drugs.

When asked in an interview on LATimes.com about filming the hit The Hangover during this time, Tyson says he had ulterior motives. "I was doing that to supply my drug habit. … I said, 'Wow, This is going to be really good. We’re going to sell this stuff on 42nd Street on bootleg and make a lot of money.' This is my best thinking on drugs. … It wasn’t that way. It was an international success."

Since then Tyson has gone vegan and lost 130 pounds, and keeps close to home with wife Lakiha Spicer and daughter Milan.

My personal life is so isolated right now. I don't go anywhere unless I'm invited. If I don't have a reason being there, I'm not going to go. I enjoy being with my children and my wife now. That's the only thing [that] keeps me grounded.
