Bill O'Reilly Takes Aim At Jennifer Aniston Over Single Mom Comments

Actress Jennifer Aniston hasn't made a friend in Bill O'Reilly.

The star of The Switch has rised the ire of the talk show host with her recent remark that "Women are realizing it more and more knowing that they don't have to settle with a man just to have that child."

"She's throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that, 'Hey you don't need a guy. You don't need a dad,'" the FOX News personality says. "That is destructive to our society."

Bill's colleague Gretchen Carlson agrees, saying that Jennifer is "glamorizing single parenthood" with her comments.

Whose side are you on: Bill's or Jen's?

Once again Bill O'Reilly has proven to be the king of all a**holes. In today's society where women are most often forced into single parenthood vs. it being a choice, Jennifer Aniston's comments are more than appropriate. Plus she has tons of cash just like all celebs so the REAL question is: who needs a daddy when you can hire a nanny!

he's not an a--hole. he simply realizes there is a 'standard.' single parenthood it ain't.

you're right. money smooths the way. but nothing could ever take the place of two commited parents, male and female, with little or lots to love and nuture the child. God's formula is best whether we care to admit it or not. i take issue with 'women being forced' into single parenthood. please..........how about women taking responsibility for their stupid and often reckless choices concerning the men they breed with? men that skip out on parental duty are the a--holes, not o'reilly. why would you let a guy like that near you? don't tell me there's no way to know. there are always red flags.

Bill O'Reilly is a vile, horrible person for not only for these comments, but for all the other horrible things he says. It's a travesty that he has such a high-profile public forum to spout his hateful comments.

As for you, not everyone believes in the fantasy of "god." People who live in the real world have no use for "god's formula."

I agree with you that Mr. O'Reilly isn't an *******, but you have no right to call a woman stupid or reckless. The men in general should man the **** up and be the parent that they chose when they were "stupid". Why do people put the blalme on women? Men HAVE to BE THERE to create a baby. So.... yeah. Women Are forced to be a single parent, cuz once the deed's done, dead beat dad gets to go, and the woman is almost always the more mature one that is straddled with this bundle. And, no. Ya don't always get the child support you deserve. So, instead of hiding behind workd that put the blame on mothers, put the blame where is should go too. The sperm donors!!!!!!!!!!! (oh yeah, ever hear of the term love is blind? noone see's your red flag if you are inlove!)

"Standard?" Maybe 50 years ago but not today. Men walk out on their families all the time which does in fact FORCE women to become single parents. And I take exception to your thinking that a 2 parent family has to be male/female. Plus I do not believe in God so your Bible thumping just passes right over my head. As far as I am concerned, do away with any child tax credit and people will make more responsible breeding choices versus using it as a source of income.

I hope you come to realize that both a mother and father are needed to raise a well adjusted child. If you do your research and not just shoot off the cuff, you would see this.

Wtf...she said "women" not, "girls", "little girls", "teen moms". He's always picking a fight with someone so that his lame a$$ show can stay on the air.

Just consider the source. He's an a-hole and it proves it every time he opens his mouth.

I am no fan of bill, however I can see what he is saying.. single parent-hood should only be an absolute last resort, since research shows that children who grow up with both a mother and a father involved in their lives lead better and healthier lives... they get better educations, jobs and are less likely to encounter problems with drugs and criminal activity.

This may have been true in the past, but as more people with a stable life and means go ahead with having children on their own without having found a partner, I believe it will change.

What a hypocrite. Where were his family values when he was sexually harassing that woman a few years back.

Seriously! Good point. ;)

It is great when a couple (which could also include same sex parents not just straight couples) would like to raise a child together, but what about those people who never find their soul mate but would still like to raise a child? There are opportunities for maternal and paternal figures in a child's life outside of their immediate family.

Team Bill on this one! sorry jen.

I dont think that Jennifer Anisten was saying that girls or woman should not have a man in their life, she's merely saying that we as women do not need a man to have or raise a child any longer and its true. Look at all the single parents there is men and women because we all have the freedom to say thats what we want and not live by a standard tradition of what others think. And if a 12 and 13 year old girls is taught and raised with the right ways of thinking and great communication with her family then she will chose what is right for her when the time comes. It just shouldnt be something she thinks she has to have or live by, she has a choice and i think thats all she was saying. That times have evolved and its not the same world anymore. Its about what you want, when you want it and the choice we can make freely. And i agree i am a mother of 5 and i would want them to live how they want and when their ready.

It's true it is not necessary for a woman to have a man to raise a child anymore. We no longer need to rely on a man for income, so there's nothing really stopping anybody. However, I believe kids need more than one influence in their life, like yin and yang. Children are better off with two parents.

Are you kidding me? Team Jen of course! Bill O'Reilly needs to find other things to bitch about. His sorry *ss show needs to go and so does Sean Hannity. I am a Republican and I am so sick of them! FOX News find others to fill these time slot! All they do is BITCH about irrelevant things!

Didn't we go thru all this in 1992 with Murphy Jones and Dan Quayle? Good to know Bill O'Reilly is so quick on the uptake. Also, Jennifer didn't say women SHOULDN'T have a man, but that they didn't HAVE to. And how many women have had a baby WITH a man, only to have to raise it by herself anyway?

Mr. Reilly and his like can bluster al they want but the trend is going to continue. I don't think anger and/or morality bullies is going to change the minds of a successful, intelligent and forward moving woman.

I think Jen should get together with Jay Leno and have kids, her chin, his chin, it's all the same.

Sadly this trend of single motherhood will continue and hard working Americans everywhere will continue to support the vast majority of these poor children who live in poverty and grow up only to continue this pattern. The "dead beat" dads are only encouraged by society's promotion of this lifestyle choice - there is no shame in walking away from your responsibility. The facts don't lie America: http://www.singleparentsuccess.org/stats.html

She didn't say the child shouldn't or wouldn't have a father. She said nothing on co-parenting. She simply said that a WOMAN doesn't need to SETTLE with a man to have a happy, healthy child.
