Maggie May rocker Rod Stewart said that eight children is plenty for him – and in a new interview, he shared that baby number eight will most definitely be his last.
Stewart joked while on Australia’s Channel 9 News program via Contact Music,
I’m very happy but it will be the last. I can’t have any more kids, otherwise I’ll be touring until I’m 90.”
The 65-year-old then told of his childrens’ excitement to welcome one more sibling, “They’ve known for a couple of years we’ve been trying for a baby and they’re delighted.”
Though he and wife Penny Lancaster do not know the gender of the new baby yet, he said that they do plan to give the baby a “Celtic name”.
Stewart’s seven children range from ages 46 down to 5, and are from four different relationships.
