Jessica Springsteen Is Riding High After Horse Show
| Sep 1, 2010 by LISA ESTALL |

Champion equestrian Jessica Springsteen has proven her love of horses over music. The 18-year-old daughter of Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa took second prize at the 115th annual Monmouth County Horse Show finale in New Jersey on Sunday.
On accepting the $5,500 prize money, she said: "You have to stay focused. If you think about anything else for a second, it ruins everything."
Jessica has been riding since she was five. She has competed in other grand prix, but this was only her second time at the East Freehold Park event.
She has two brothers, Evan, 20, and Sam, 16. The family own a horse farm and live in Rumson, New Jersey.
