Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s eldest child, showed off her sense of style on Wednesday as she started her first school day at the famous LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, in New York City. Wearing a plaid sleeveless shirt over a white T-shirt with a black mini-skirt and fabulous black ankle boots, the 13 year old demonstrated the love of fashion that she shares with her superstar mom, perhaps even displaying some of the clothing line they run at Macy’s.
As we reported earlier, she was also arrayed in a collection of bracelets including a marijuana leaf wristband.
The ninth-grader, who was unaccompanied by her mother, will be required to take classes in acting, dance, voice and diction, improvisation and theater history. According to the New York Daily News, the lovely teen is attending the drama department and could possibly be gracing the silver screen in our not too distant future.
Understandably, the other pupils are keen to get to know Lourdes while trying not to appear star-struck.
I don’t want to be like, ‘Your mom’s a celebrity,'” said her fellow first-year student. “But if the occasion arises, I’d definitely talk to her.”
Despite having such a high profile parent, she is reportedly behaving like a regular student – chatting and hugging her friends but not pushing herself forward.
I saw [Lourdes] in the morning and in the cafeteria,” said a fellow freshman. “She was talking to people. … She blends in with everyone. She seems like a normal person.”
