Gwen Stefani & Kingston: Mani-Pedi Pals!

It's another mani-pedi for Kingston and mama!

Spiderwebs singer Gwen Stefani took her 4-year-old son Kingston to a nail salon in New York City for a little pampering on Friday (September 10).

After sticking out his tongue at the paparazzi through the window, Kingston showing off his mani-pedi upon leaving the salon. The fashionable pair were later joined by papa Gavin Rossdale and little brother Zuma. The family-of-four then headed off to lunch in SoHo.

WHY?? doers she keep painting his toe and hands? he is a boy not a girl. Please stop that!! what type of message is she sending out and for her other son??

kids like that sort of thing, my 2 year old son wants his nails painted every time i do mine. it's really not a big deal, he won't be gay because of it.

What message is she sending, to Kingston, to Zuma, and to the world?

Probably that her family is open-minded and creative and that silly gender roles should not be forced upon four-year-old kids. But I doubt that Gwen cares what you or other people think, to be honest.

If you're interested in my opinion, I can tell you that Kingston is lucky not to be your son. He might be forced to conform to a "football hero" persona and to wear a military-style buzz cut. IF he had a sister, she'd always be wearing pink tutus and tiaras, and might be scolded if she ever dared to climb a tree or get her hands dirty.

O you are a breath of fresh air!!!!

Many thanks from an equally open minded mum!

Agree. I find it so amusing how Kingston and Shiloh were born a day apart, their families are friends, and their rents let them be who they are. They will grow up together; her in her so-called boy clothes, and he with his pedi's, and they both will be more confident, self knowing, positive, and creative then most so-called normal people who will be raised with that "pink for girls, blue for boys" blah blah blah. I bet they marry lol.

I think it's great. I highly doubt she's forcing him to get his nails done, and to me it just shows a great bond between mother and son - he sees her having her nails done, so he wants to be like her!

Oh calm down. It's just painting his nails. Geez.

I've never understood why this bothers people (same with the whole Shiloh dressing like boy thing). I have two daughters and a son and they ALL wear each others clothes and play with dolls and trucks and my daughters can have short hair if they want (one does) and my son paints his nails when he sees his sisters doing it. What's the big deal?

Agree, plus the people that say this is bad are just jealous cuz their kids aren't that cute.

I have always thought that kid was a bit light in the loafers. It will be interesting to see which team he plays for when he is older. Either way, I am sure Gwen and Gavin will accept his choices. Which is how it should be. But Gwen really needs a girl!

IT's funny how Kingston enjoys these things while Shiloh don't :)

ugggh, why!?

Kingston is adorable! I think he is just expressing himself and it is totally ok for a guy to paint his nails! He is four years old and he is living in hollywood so give it a break..... This family is great and they look so cute together:)

If he is light in the loafers than so is his dad, Seal, Steven Tyler... duh they are rock stars they all polish their nails

I wonder if they went for mani/peds with their mums when they were 4 though? He has other tendencies that I have seen in pics as well. Seal-totally not gay. Steven Tyler-wouldn't be surprise if he dabbed a bit in his life!
