There has been fairly steady speculation that Vicky Cristina Barcelona star Penélope Cruz is pregnant, since she first began dating her Oscar-winning husband Javier Bardem. Up to this point however, the rumors have yet to be accurate.
E! Online has kicked off a new round of rumors, after questioning the fact that the actress has been staying out of the spotlight recently. Though, the most concrete evidence comes from sources revealing that Bardem is sharing the happy news with those in his inner-circle.
A rep for Cruz - who, in the past has made it very clear that the actress was not pregnant - would only say, "I got nothing for ya," when questioned by E! Online.

What is the point of all this speculation anyway? Pregnancy is one of those rare things you really can't hide after a while, so we'll know soon enough.
it's natural for there to be speculation when celebs are newly together or married as to when they'll have children or at least it has been since the advent of the celebrity glossy magazines in the 1970's. before that you weren't even allowed to say pregnant in print you had to say expecting or with child. nor did celebrity publicists have to confrim or deny anything by statement they let pictures do the comfirmation/denial especially if there had been a loss previously forced/ accidental.
