Ryan Reynolds Tackles Adoption Rumors

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds has been candid in the past of his hopes to some day adopt. However, Reynolds, who married actress Scarlett Johansson almost two-years-ago, is now denying previously reported claims that the couple are currently in the process of adopting.

In an interview with GQ Magazine via US, the actor said,

No, no, I've not adopted anything. A few years down the road, having a family. That's years away at this point."

The Green Lantern star then touched on keeping his private life private, after having a secret ceremony in British Columbia, Canada when he and Johansson were married, "I believe anyone should have the right to have a private wedding ceremony. I think if anything's sacred it should be that. But for the most part — I can only speak for me, as one-half of that relationship — I choose to remain as private as possible without being secretive."

Reynolds began dating Match Point star Johansson the same year he and Canadian rocker Alanis Morisette, who is currently expecting her first child, split.
