Camila Alves & Her Farmer’s Market Munchkin

Camila Alves & Her Farmer's Market Munchkin

Absolutely adorable! Camila Alves cuddled her 8-month-old daughter Vida as she shopped for flowers, fruits and veggies at the farmer’s market in Santa Monica, California today (September 15).

The lovely Shear Genius host and her partner Matthew McConaughey are also parents to 2-year-old Levi.

That’s a beautiful baby, but she shouldn’t be facing out. The Ergo is designed for the baby to be facing in only.

So Cute!!! But seriously, how thick is Camila to be putting her in the carrier the wrong way. Poor kid’s legs must be totally squashed in there.

Vida has Camila’s lips but other than that she looks a whole lot like Matthew, especially her facial expressions!

Hey perfect thinking people. This is a baby. You know what a baby is doing when feeling uncomfortable? It’s crying. I don’t any pain on her face so just breathe and stop judging every picture you see here

Agreeing with some of the other comments – the carrier is used incorrectly.

    Beautiful baby — wow.

And, yes, as several perceptive readers have been quick to point out, the baby is indeed facing the “wrong way”. Big deal — I think it’s creative and cute. She has an extra arm around Vida for support, and I’m sure the kid’s legs will be absolutely fine. Those of you concerned should think about leg positions when a kid faces forward in an over-the-shoulder sling — basically the same.

facing out in the ERGO Baby Carrier is the incorrect way to use the carrier and I am sure the makers of the carrier would agree. Part of the reasoning behind the ERGO only facing inward (as opposed to the Baby Bjorn) is that facing babies out in any carrier has been linked to hip problems and displacement at later stages in development. The baby is absolutely beautiful.

I’m not a fan of Camila’s at all, for various reasons, but Vida is a beautiful baby. I don’t agree that putting a baby in a carrier incorrectly is creative. It was made a specific way for the well being of the child.
