Woody Allen: Penélope Cruz & Javier Bardem Will Have A "Super Baby"

Penélope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem finally revealed that they are expecting their first child together, and now their celebrity friends are starting to chime in.

Woody Allen, who directed the couple in 2008’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona (Cruz won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role) joked to People, "I had nothing to do with it!"

He then added, "I think it's great. I'm crazy about both of them – Javier and Penélope. And I'm sure they'll have a super baby, because their genes are award-winning."

And the director had nothing but praise for Penélope and Javier as future parents. "She'll be great," he said. "And why not? I think he'll be great as a father, and I think she'll be a great mother. She's a lovely person."
