Studio head Harvey Weinstein and wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman welcomed their daughter India Pearl just under a month ago, and Weinstein is crediting their child for helping Chapman to produce her strongest work yet.
In an interview with New York Magazine, Weinstein praised Chapman’s latest collection, saying, “I think it’s her best collection. And she did a lot of work up front; knowing that she was pregnant made her get it done. Normally, she rushes up until the last minute, so I think it taught her a good lesson, that you can prepare.” Adding, “The good thing about having a baby is you do have nine months to plan.”
Weinstein then shared how his life has changed since welcoming India, saying, “I think sleep is something, you know, one misses.”
When questioned as to whether he is a hands-on dad in the diaper changing department, Weinstein said, “Oh yeah. Are you kidding me? I have to.”
The 58-year-old has plenty of experience being a father, as he is also dad to three older daughters, Lily, Emma and Ruthie from a previous marriage.
