Ricki Lake's Malibu Home Burns Down

Former talk-show host and homebirth advocate Ricki Lake's Malibu rental home has burned down, reports The Insider. Lake, along with her two sons Milo, 13, and Owen, 9, as well as the family dog all made it out safely.

The fire reportedly began after the actress attempted to "refuel a portable heater" which caused the couch to catch fire and quickly spread.

According to her rep, Lake, who is now staying with friends, "lost many personal items, but is grateful that everyone is okay."

There is currently an "ongoing" investigation into what caused the blaze.
