Madonna & Her Material Girl

Madonna & Her Material Girl

Madonna rocked the red carpet with her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes (a.k.a. Lola) at the launch of their Material Girl juniors’ line at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City on Wednesday (September 22).

The mother-daughter duo were joined by Gossip Girl‘s Taylor Momsen who is the face of the collection.

The line, inspired by designer pal Stella McCartney, includes funky back-to-school duds and some mainstays of Madonna’s wardrobe from her earlier days such as fingerless gloves.

It’s inspired by Madonna, rock, the 80s, and other things/eras but not Stella. Stella did encourage Lola to pursue her fashion design dreams when she was 8 though.

Madonna looks great. Lourdes is pretty, but I don’t think the outfit flatters her and Taylor looks awful.

I really hate these clothes. I don’t get the ripped tights, and I would prefer my 13 year old to wear pants with a shirt that short. Just my opinion.

oh this is tragic!! we wonder why young girls are becoming sexualized… here is your answer!!!! she is 13 for god’s sake-this is disgusting and shameful and taylor momsen, gosh her mom must just be so proud to have a daughter of that calibre…

Breathe. Then focus on raising your own children or young girls and stop expecting pop stars to do it for you. People like to point fingers at others instead of taking responsibility for their actions and that of those in their care.

Lourdes is WAY to young to have that much makeup on. She’s only 13, for crying out loud!
