Bryce Dallas Howard's Son Provided "Balance"

Though motherhood came a good 5 years earlier than she'd planned, actress Bryce Dallas Howard says she's now grateful that things worked out the way they did.

Married at 25 to her teenage sweetheart Seth Gabel, the Eclipse star says they planned to put off parenthood for several years. But then they got the positive pregnancy test and their son Theo, now 3, arrived the very next year.

"Our grand plan was that we were going to wait until our thirties to start a family, but I found out I was pregnant seven days after we were married... It shifted our priorities dramatically, in a moment, and it has been in every way the best thing that could have ever happened to us," Bryce tells Nylon magazine.

Though motherhood brought with it a difficult journey through postpartum depression, which Bryce recently shared with Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP, she is now very happy with her little family, saying, "Theo has provided so much balance."
