Rascal Flatts singer/bassist Jay DeMarcus and wife Allison, who are expecting a baby girl this January, have revealed that they’ll be naming their daughter Madeline Leigh.
“Leigh is Ally’s middle name and we finally settled on a [first] name that we both liked together,” explains the 39-year-old musician. “I love kids. I’m really, really close to my nephew and two nieces and I love kids so much.”
This is a part of my life I’ve wanted for some time and just had to wait a little longer to get there. I’m really excited and can’t wait to kiss [her] face off.
The baby, whose nickname will be “Maddy” is the first child for Jay and Allison, who met while filming a Rascall Flatts music video and have been married since May 2004.
The couple announced their pregnancy in July.
I like the name Madeline. Not too common in Hollywood like Ava or Grace or off the wall name like peaches honey blossom.
