Oksana Grigorieva Celebrates Lucia’s 1st Birthday

Oksana Grigorieva’s daughter, Lucia, turned one on Saturday (October 30) and to celebrate, the single mother threw a birthday bash at their Sherman Oaks, Calif. home.

Approximately twenty guests, including Oksana’s ex Timothy Dalton – the father of her 13-year-old son, Alexander – arrived around noon. The home was decorated with bouquets of white tulips, which the Russian musician was spotted carrying earlier in the day, and the guests enjoyed a cake from Viktor Benes Bakery.

“One guest brought a giant bouquet of pink balloons and signs that said ‘1st Birthday’”, a witness tells Us. “Several of the children wore their Halloween costumes for the party. Kids played in the yard while the parents chatted.”

Not present at the shindig was the little girl’s father, Mel Gibson, with whom Oksana is involved in a tumultuous custody battle. Currently, Lucia resides with her mother, but still sees her dad often, including an overnight visit once a week.

Recently, Oksana, 40, spoke out about her past relationship with the 54-year-old actor, saying that despite what they’d been through, she’s “not angry at him”.

“For the sake of Lucia, I really want him to be well,” she explained. “He has to have the courage to be responsible for what he’s done.”

Hard to imagine that Lucia is already 1-year-old! How fast the tie flies. It´s so sad that the first year of her life has been so full of drama. But who knows how this whole thing between her mum and dad is gonna affect her in the future. Hopefully Oksana and Mel could sort things out somehow so that Lucia could be in contact with her father too. Mel sure has been a wonderful dad to his seven older children and it´s so sad if Lucia has to grow without her dad in her life. Wishing that Lucia and Mel could work out some kind of arrangement so that Mel could at least meet Lucia regularly and be a part of her life in that way.
