They may only be a week old, but Céline Dion and René Angelil‘s new baby boys Nelson and Eddy are already developing their own unique personalities.
“One is more gutsy than the other,” reveals the proud papa. “Nelson seems to have a little stronger personality right now, he’s the tougher of the two. Nelson weighed more at birth but the doctor told us in a week or two, they’re going to be the same.”
The Canadian songstress couldn’t help but gush about her new sons, telling Britain’s Hello! magazine, “They’re so cute it’s incredible. When we look at them we can’t believe it. And to have them here at home – it’s all we could wish for.”
In a separate interview with Hello! Canada given shortly before the birth of Nelson and Eddy, Céline spoke of her dreams for them, saying, “There’s no goal for me except that I want them to be healthy first of all. And grow up knowing that they’re loved. For me, that’s the greatest success in the world – to know that you’re loved and you’re healthy and you’re balanced. That’s our goal for them.”
She added that she’s equally thrilled for her son René-Charles, who is now a big brother.
“I feel it’s the greatest gift that you can offer yourself, to have a child. But I was also in my heart hoping for siblings for my son because I know what family is all about – obviously, with the environment I came from. So I feel very, very proud for him and for us. When the newborns come, it will be extraordinary again, of course, but nothing will ever change this first child and the relationship we have with him.”
