The eldest children of the King of Pop said they didn’t mind going out in public wearing face masks and veils. In fact, their grandmother Katherine Jackson tells Winfrey that the disguises were first suggested by Debbie Rowe, their biological mother.
When we did go out without our dad, other people wouldn’t recognize us,” Paris said. “He tried to raise us without [us] knowing who he was, but that didn’t go so well.”
While Paris and Prince are now enrolled in regular school, their 8-year-old brother Blanket is still home-schooled. Paris told Winfrey of her hopes to be an actress, and Prince said he wants to be a movie producer.
When asked how their world-famous dad – who died of an overdose at age 50 on June 25, 2009 – was misunderstood, Paris said,
I kinda felt like no one understands what a good father he was. I’d say he was the best cook ever. He made the best French toast in the world. He was just a normal dad, except he was the best dad.”
