Days of our Lives alum Lisa Rinna and her husband of thirteen years, Harry Hamlin, are lighting up the small screen in their new reality show Harry Loves Lisa. And that’s not all going on for the longtime couple! Lisa is promoting her new book, Starlit, and Harry just released his autobiography, Full Frontal Nudity.
In an exclusive interview with Celebrity Baby Scoop, Lisa opens up about their new TV show, their love of working together, and their “funny” daughters. “Harry and I love to work together so we wanted to create a show so we could work together,” the busy mom-of-two says. She adds that it is “loosely based on I Love Lucy.”
And what about their new books? Lisa says her book Rinnavation “went really well, then the publishers wanted me to write a book of fiction so Starlit was born.”
She says her books inspired Harry to tell his own story. “I think Harry saw that if I can write a book, then why not?!” Lisa says this is how “Full Frontal Nudity was born which, by the way, is a great read about the first twenty-five years of his crazy life.”
When asked about the secret to their thirteen-year marriage, Lisa replies, “I don’t know the secret to our relationship! I really don’t – I just know it works.” She goes on to say, “We have mutual respect for one another and communication, of course, is key.”
Lisa tells us that their two daughters – Delilah, 12, and Amelia, 9 – are “fantastic.” The proud mom goes on to describe the girls as “busy, creative, funny, loving, empathetic and strong.”
But don’t expect to see too much of the tweens in their show. “The girls are a part of Harry Loves Lisa but just a little bit.” Lisa adds, “I believe it’s best not to focus on them and let them just be kids.” Lisa says with a smile, “They don’t need to work – not yet!”
When asked how she plans to safeguard her family-of-four from the ‘reality TV curse,’ Lisa replies that they “pray a lot.”
And what about the robbery in their popular store Belle Gray? Lisa says they “haven’t found the robber of Belle Gray, but we have him on tape.” Always the positive thinker, Lisa adds that the “store is like the little engine that could – it keeps on going!”
