Carrie Underwood Hopes For "Maternal Instincts"

Country crooner Carrie Underwood tells InStyle magazine that she won't be joining the list of Hollywood moms-to-be anytime soon.

"Oh, it's going to be awhile," the American Idol alum insists. "The other night, [husband Mike Fisher] was with some friends and their kids, and he sent me a funny text saying, 'Watching my friend's kids ... Let's wait a while.'"

Starting a family may be a ways off yet, but Carrie, 27, admits she already has a few worries about motherhood.

"I didn't grow up around kids, and I hope those motherly instincts are in me," she says. "I'm sure they are, but I don't know what to talk about with a 4-year-old!"

Carrie and Mike tied the knot in July.
