Willow Smith’s Favorite Rapper Is Tupac Shakur

Budding star Willow Smith has many musical loves, but at the top of her list falls the late Tupac Shakur.

“On my iPod I have Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Billy Idol, B.O.B., Eminem, Tupac,” said the 10-year-old daughter of Will Smith & Jada Pinkett. “He was my mom’s best friend.”

Willow also added that despite her love for the rapper, who lived most of his life in conflict with the law and was killed in 1996 in a suspected gang related incident, she doesn’t aspire to follow in his footsteps. Rather, she is hoping to become more like Love The Way You Lie songstress, Rihanna.

“I think Rihanna’s awesome,” said Willow. “I’d love to be a baby Rihanna!”

During a recent US radio interview, the spunky Whip My Hair singer opened up about meeting another one of her musical inspirations, Jay-Z, who has signed her to his label, Roc Nation.

It was really fun! He was really welcoming, and he was funny, support and I just felt welcomed. He just told me to have fun.

Willow recently credited her parents as being her biggest supporters, saying, “Mommy and Daddy inspired me to be a performer. I get my flow from Daddy, my singing ability from Mommy, and the camera stuff from both. That’s just what happens when you hang out with the Smiths!”

Willow’s Whip My Hair video went viral after hitting YouTube this fall, and will also be released in the UK on December 6th.

Why on earth is a TEN YEAR OLD listening to Eminem and Tupac Shakur?! Some things are for adults only. Em and Tupac are two of those things.

Jada DATED Tupac, lol. You know what she says is molded by what her mother tells her and how she coaches her. Willow desperately wants to be Rihanna. She has her stylist, she cut her hair like she had it, she sings her songs, she tries to sound like her, it’s pretty obvious. The whole thing is so manufactured.

Jada and Tupac went to high school together, so what would be the problem? She’s a HUGE fan of Rhianna, it’s common knowledge, so why can’t she emulate her favorite singer? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Another question: Aren’t all children coached by their parents on how to act in public, so what’s your point?

They are trying to pass her off as “unique” and different. They are trying to make it seem like her looks, her hair, her comments, and everything else she does or says are coming from HER originally when they are coming from everyone else but her. She’s a complete fabrication. Everything about her is fake. You can try to justify it and dance around it all you want, but it doesn’t change things. Nothing that was posted in my comment is false and all you did is give excuses.

Everything about every kid is fake…None have discovered who they are. The kid is talented, she has the opportunity to pursue her talent, so why not?

RIGHT, haha Will got those sloppy seconds. She needs to try to be orignial and nothing like Rihanna (except for her looks). Rihanna is just a studio artist, she sounds good on record in the studio (which can make any music sound good), but she is horrid live…
