Usher Is A "Better Man" Thanks To Kids
| Dec 7, 2010 by CAROLYN ROBERTSON |

Singer Usher says life has changed a lot since the arrival of his sons Usher V, 3, and Naviyd, who turns 2 this week. Though his career keeps him busy, the Grammy-winner tells Hello! Canada, "I'm a dad first and foremost."
"My journey as a father has definitely given me patience," Usher reveals of fatherhood. "And a different understanding of love, of emotion, of the value of [my] life. I feel like I have become a better man as a result of having children."
The 'OMG' singer is also making a difference in the lives of kids other than his own thanks to his charity, the New Look Foundation.
"We mentor youth, giving them the opportunity to be of service [to their communities] in a way that is meaningful," Usher explains. "Education is the most important tool. The kids we mentor go on to get scholarships and a college education. We are building the [leaders] of the future."
