Natalie Portman On Pregnancy Cravings & Morning Sickness

Natalie Portman announced last month that she and choreographer Benjamin Millepied are engaged and expecting their first child. So the big question is: Any weird pregnancy cravings?

“Anything with vinegar,” the Black Swan actress reveals.

And asked how she’s feeling, Natalie says that after a rough start to her pregnancy she’s doing much better these days. “I feel amazing. I had a bit of sickness at the beginning but I’m feeling good now.”

Also starring in the upcoming No Strings Attached with Ashton Kutcher, the busy actress reflected on her whirlwind year. “I feel very lucky. It’s been a really, really lucky, lucky time.

“Obviously my own life is so different now,” she added. “I’m definitely becoming an adult now really, finally!”

was this child conceived for love, or for Oscar consideration and extra pregnant celebrity actress publicity?

Considering the publicity she has had for “Black Swan” – and that was before she announced the pregnancy – and the fact that even most critics consider her performance award-worthy, I’d say your comment is totally unfounded.

I sure as hell wouldn’t risk the possibility of horrible all-day sickness from pregnancy if I were trying to be nominated for an Oscar, knowing it would require extra publicity and self-promotion. I’d want to be feeling my best, ready to take on the world. You’re pregnancy on purpose theory is a little far fetched, sorry.
