Helena Bonham Carter woke up this morning to news that she’d been nominated for an Oscar for her role in The King’s Speech, but the actress told producer Harvey Weinstein there’s an award she covets even more than the golden statuette.
“I’ve been kind of lying low, frankly. I’d told him I prefer to be best supporting mom than best supporting actress,” Helena quipped.
There was someone who had more enthusiastic words, though – Helena’s daughter Nell. “Of course I am thrilled to receive an Oscar nomination. As my 3-year-old daughter said ‘Yay!’ I couldn’t put it any better myself,” Helena said.
No word on what son Billy Raymond, 7, thinks of mom’s honor, but I’m sure he’s excited as well.

And she can’t be both?
