Julianne Moore: It's Hard To Feel Sexy Around My Kids

Julianne Moore says that it's difficult to feel sexy unless she and husband Bart Freundlich are able to spend some time away from kids Caleb, 13, and Liv, 8.

"I think [to feel sexy,] you need to be away from your children. Doing the mommy stuff does sort of squash that area of your life.," the Kids Are Alright actress said.

And Julianne says there's nothing about driving carpool that makes her feel desirable. "The day-to-day of picking up kids and going to the eye doctor and then dropping them off at basketball and then going to the middle school concert doesn't make you feel very sexy," she says. "I feel sexiest when I'm alone with Bart or when we take a trip."

But like most parents the couple often feel guilty for spending time away from their children. "Your relationship is never going to be what it was at the start - and the fact it's not is something that we struggle with," she admits. "My husband and I try to spend time alone, but it is hard because the kids go, 'Why are you going out, you went out last night?' So we try to make time for each other, and maybe take trips away together but we're like everyone else in that respect."
