If you ask Céline Dion and husband, René Angélil , their newborn twins are already quite gifted.
Just how gifted? According to the Grammy-winning artist, the four-month-old babies are already speaking French!
“We mainly speak French to them,” Dion tells Oprah Winfrey in an interview airing today (February 21). “And they speak French to us, too.
“They wave, they speak French — they’ve got it all,” joked Céline.
Although little Nelson and Eddy aren’t really talking yet, they’re existance alone is pretty miraculous to Dion and Angélil, who struggled to conceive the babies after five failed attempts at IVF.
“When Saturday at 11:11 came, and they showed us the first baby that was crying, we were crying,” René recounted. “It was a very emotional moment, and even though we didn’t speak to each other, we were both thinking about the time it took. We are very lucky, very privileged and very fortunate to have these boys.”
The twins make three children for Céline and René. Their oldest son, René-Charles, is 9.
