Babies were a hot topic on the red carpet at last night’s premiere of Hall Pass – not surprising, seeing as the movie stars new parents Christina Applegate and Owen Wilson, as well as mom-to-be Alyssa Milano!
Christina, who welcomed daughter Sadie just last month, stopped to chat to Access Hollywood about the early days of motherhood.
“I love motherhood,” she gushed. “In fact, I can’t wait to leave from this conversation here and go home to her! She’s a month old tomorrow, so I’m watching her change and grow everyday and it’s remarkable.”
Christina, who underwent a double mastectomy following her breast cancer diagnosis in 2008, also talked about how being a mom has changed the way she sees her body.
“It’s not about insecurities so much as a place on your body that is not yours anymore. You don’t have that kind of relationship that you used to because it’s, you know, no longer a part of you. It’s an amputation – it’s gone,” she said. “But [my chest] is [Sadie’s] favorite place to be. And it’s opened that part of me up again where I think I closed.”
