While promoting her new single On the Floor on Extra at The Grove, Jennifer Lopez dished about everything from tough parenting to the talents of her 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme; making it very clear that regardless of how busy she gets (and she is busy!), family always comes first.
"You know, at the end of the day, the babies are the light of my life and the most important thing to me is my family," Jennifer told host Mario Lopez. "They come first and then everything else kind of comes after."
"Everything else" would be Jennifer's music and film careers, perfume and fashion lines, American Idol... just to name a few of the things that the multi-talented mom has on her plate.
As for who plays the role of the "tough parent" in the household, Jennifer says that she and husband, Marc Anthony, "trade off" in that area. And when asked if she and Marc have plans to add to their family, Lopez simply replied, "You know what? We're not trying, but we're not trying not to, and if it happened, I would be so happy!"

As much as I'm sure she loves her kids, to say they come first is somewhat of a joke. This woman is doing so much every single day, I'd be surprised if there weren't many days that went by where she didn't even see those kids.
She always talks that talk but its obvious that her career and fame comes first. Too have two little children that need her, she sure is taking on a whole lot of projects at one time. American Idol judge, promoting her own music, spokes model for Venus shavers, L'Oreal cosmetics, not counting her and Marc Anthony being photographed out on the town at every red carpet event there is. Some mothers would sacrifice a few of those things just so they could have some quality time with their little children, especially if they were already wealthy and set for life, but not Jennifer Lopez. She knows she comes first and she always will.
Now and then she'll talk about her children but its all for good publicity and only a precaution to protect her image.
I so agree with both of you. She cracks me up with those comments!
Jennifer Lopez herself is the light of her own life, not her children.
Her kids are just mere accessories to her when she needs a staged photoshoot with them once in awhile to garner publicity about her being a good mother. Then they go back to the nanny, but I'm not surprised. I bet Marc Anthony never tells Jennifer that she should slow down on her quest for fame and attention, because he knows he walked out on his first born little children himself. Jennifer knew it, but never stopped him and they flaunted their affair in public for his former wife to see and getting married only 4 days after Marc divorced her. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony belong together.
