Seven-year-old Ryder had a big cheering section at his baseball game in Malibu, California today (March 19). Mom Kate Hudson and dad Chris Robinson were both there, along with Chris’ new wife Allison Bridges and their adorable daughter Cheyenne, 1.
Though they divorced in 2007, the Almost Famous star and her ex have stayed on very good terms. She talked last year about their lifelong bond, saying, “I don’t regret that relationship because it gave me my son and, to this day, I have such a deep love for Chris. Just as it takes work to be in a relationship, so it takes work to not be in a relationship.”
These days Kate has a new love in her life – and a new baby on the way! The 31-year-old actress and her beau Matthew Bellamy are expecting a child this summer.

Aww, this is cute! I love that she and Chris still get along!
And it’s sweet that it looks like she’s sort of playing with the baby in that picture! I don’t think many people would do that with their ex’s kids.
This is how I grew up. My sister’s dad would come and stay weekends with my parents when I was growing up and I would go on trips with my sister and her dad. My father and he also became very good friends. When my parents split, we’d all have cookouts at my dads and my stepmoms home. My mom even wrote the obit for my sister’s father when he died of cancer “at the request of Patricia his life partner.”
Lifes to d@mn short for the drama that doesn’t have to exist.
I love it. This is how grownups do it.
well, i think that that dude needs to shave that ol muff off his face i think he may look alot hotter then…
Chris please do. Thanks
i do agree with the notion that if the child’s legal parents have an active role in their life it doesn’t matter as much how many other relationships they have. it appears to be working for chris and kate.
I love when families can do this. It’s really important for kids to have their parents get along. I like that Britney and KFed are doing this as well for Sean and Jayden.
Cheyenne is a cutie pie too!
