Newly single mom Ashlee Simpson brought her 2-year-old son Bronx Mowgli along to this weekend’s Milk + Bookies 2nd Annual Story Time Celebration held At The Skirball Cultural Center In Los Angeles, California (March 20).
Despite rumors of a brewing custody battle, Ashlee’s ex Pete Wentz insists that they remain on good terms post-split.
“Ashlee’s been my best friend for five years. She’s the mother of my child. I have nothing but love and respect for her,” he said last week, adding, “Going through something like this isn’t easy but we’re friends and the most important thing is to put our son first.”

She wasn’t alone with him…her mom was there too. Nothing wrong with that of course, but it is strange how she can’t even seem to grocery shop without a friend with her. She never seems to do anything by herself, or just her and her son alone, she always needs her parents or a friend with her to do even the most mundane tasks.
