How does Soul Surfer star Carrie Underwood manage to avoid those pesky pregnancy rumors now she’s married to her hockey player hubby, Mike Fisher? It’s all about the clothes!
“I don’t want people assuming that I am [pregnant] until I say that I am,” Underwood told People.
We just got married. We haven’t been married a year yet. I would want to be married for a little while [before having kids],” said Carrie.
Still, living her life in the public eye, the American Idol alum has learned just the trick to keeping the tabloids from mistaking some occasional bloating for a baby bump.
“[I] choose my wardrobe differently because when I wear something a little baggier, I’m like, ‘Nope, people are going to think I’m hiding something, so I better not wear that,'” explains Underwood. “So it does make me kind of think a little extra.”
And though the 28-year-old country star says that she and her husband have “plenty of time” to have children, things will definitely be a lot easier (should they change their minds, that is) now that Fisher’s been traded to the Nashville Predators, allowing the newlyweds to spend more time together and continue “just having fun.”
