Céline Dion returned to the stage just five months after giving birth to fraternal twins, Eddy and Nelson. But despite having juggled parenthood and a thriving singing career for years with her oldest son, René Charles, 10, the Grammy award-winning mom-of-three admits that leaving her family hasn’t gotten any easier.
“It is very intense so I try to get here as late as possible and get home as quick as I can,” Dion, 43, tells ET Canada. “The first thing before I start a show, I think of my kids and always say, ‘This one’s for you guys.'”
Fortunately, with a grueling performance schedule at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Céline has some capable hands at home to help her manage the three boys.
In addition to hubby René Angélil, Dion’s sister has moved in with the family to lend her assistance anytime, day or night.
“She takes the kids during the night so, in between the feeds, I sleep,” Céline shares. “So I feed Nelson then she comes back and takes Nelson [and] brings me Eddy. Two breasts, two babies, that’s fine – there’s only so much that you can do.”
Céline’s Las Vegas show is set to run for three years. Though the almost daily performances don’t allow her to spend as much time with her children as she’d like, Dion’s family is never too far away. Her concert includes a montage of home videos of her husband and sons.
